Do we need happiness or joy?

First, happiness and joy are not mutually exclusive; they often complement each other. But in this analysis, we can separate them. Happiness is overcoming unhappiness. For example, a hungry or thirsty person feels happy when they eat or drink. On the other hand, a person who is not hungry or thirsty cannot be happy about eating or drinking.

In an alienated society, much unhappiness exists. Poverty and weakness are misfortunes in society. That’s why earning money and achieving power or glory in today’s society become symbols of happiness. First, this kind of happiness is difficult to achieve. Second, this kind of happiness is alienated from its nature, making it an illusion. Earning more money, achieving more power or glory in society cannot create lasting happiness.

On the contrary, the result looks more like the use of illegal drugs. The more alienated happiness an individual achieves, the greater the personal unhappiness that results, affecting society as a whole. The most successful people today are most often the least satisfied with their lives. They have problems everywhere; they get divorced the most; they consume alcohol and drugs the most on purpose to find their own peace. Everyone who tries to analyze happiness could see that. Therefore, people should not aim for that kind of happiness.

The system I have proposed will ensure economic existence for each person and grant them equal power and rights in society, thereby removing unhappiness. Where unhappiness does not exist, happiness can hardly exist either. So what are we going to do?

Let’s enjoy our lives! Joy is a far more stable and lasting emotion than happiness. Joy results from an utterly productive orientation in a person. Continuous productive activity of a person that advances themselves, society and their environment creates endless joy. I am not talking about sacrificing for any idea; I am talking about natural life, based on innate knowledge from which people have alienated themselves. The system I have proposed will create a natural environment that enables people to enjoy their lives.
